it's a pity that critics don't produce works of their own to be torn down in return...
A degree is good but it's far from a free pass to a job. Especially in this day and age.
But don't snub schooling/training, there are so many things and technique that you can learn that will help you.
The best thing you can do is get your art "out there" and seen/known. Enter every exhibit you can, show your works in tat parlors and see what happens.

I've been told that I would be good at designing them but I want to make sure I have a lot of different designs before I plan on going to show a tatoo parlor. I would love to do commercial logo design! Thanks for the idea! But I don't really know where to go to submit commercial logo designs...have any thoughts? Thanks a lot!
